We zijn daar gaan buurten: lieve mensen, rustige plek, koeien, paarden, velden, bomen zo ver het oog reikt en zowaar een serieuze streep zon...dat hadden we nog niet gehad.

So much to do, to enjoy, to experience, so little time...
Today was such a beautiful day...sunny, radiant. Pitty I had to drive around looking for euhm stuff...like a parasol (for the comfort of our aimable clientèle) and euhm stuff ( also for the comfort of our aimable clientèle).
Afterwards I allowed myself not to look at the mess in the kitchen and to enjoy some anarchistic gardening. Most of the time I drive myself crazy being so unorganized and chaotic, but on days like these I see-feel it's my strength and anyway...could I be someone-anyone-anything else???

It's what some of you had and a lot of you missed at Les 6 Reines last week-end.
Cheese-cake, Mousse au Chocolat, Gâteau Pomme-Cannelle, Gâteau au Citron...all made by hand, with love by my Double Base playing Kitchen Hero Arne (for the comfort of our...)

hiervan hebben we er zoveel gevonden:
en geheel volgens mijn use-reuse-recycle motto/manie gaan we die recupkes schone, vrolijke kleurkes geven en -hoerahoerabimbamdeklokkenendaarisdezon- we hebben een terras.
Bientôt-on attend le soleil-donc, une belle petite terrasse sur la Place, dans l'ombre de l'église.

...de retour donc, après cette rude période prénatal...
Les premiers jours de la vie des 6 Reines furent longues, chaotiques mais divins.
Dit was ons eerste etalageke -een beetje moeilijk te zien- linksboven knuffels van Bunnies en Clyde en broches van Lovely Mariquita, daaronder de champignonring van Elisabeth Leenknegt, rechtsboven de heerlijke jongenshemdjes van Little Miss Y en daaronder een greepke uit de herstellapjescollectie van Marie Lambert.
And there's a lot more to see in the shop...

Qu'est ce que c'est chouette d'avoir des enfants à 6 ans d'intervalle.
Elles ont toutes les 3 leurs petits trucs, les joies et peines liées à leur age et puis des fois il y a une parallèle, comme une synchronisation.
A présent, ce sont de belles histoires dentaires.
Ezra, 11 mois, ressemble à une mémeetje avec cette petite dent solitaire.
Maò, 5 ans et 10 mois, ne sait plus rester au lit. Elle a 2 dents qui bougent (un peu) et comment faire si elles tombent la nuit?
Et ma toute grande, Lula, 12 ans, a une belle bouche en fer.

...and I wish I could show you some pictures, but I really really don't have any time to waste looking for a nice spot and good light etc... Anyway you'll all have to come and see how splendid les 6 Reines has become once we're open (le 30 mai donc hein).
But I do want to tell you about Martine of ML productions.
I first met her at the beaubeau-market. I adored her work & we talked for a while. At the time it seemed to me as if she was a little reluctant towards les 6 Reines. She knows Ellezelles very well (even better than I do, since she spent most of her childhood over here) and I had the impression she thought my plans where... euhm... quite reckless.
Het is effectief een niet voor de handliggend project voor azo een landelijke omgeving, maar bon...dienen strijd was al gestreden dacht ik.
Mais bon voilà, I'm so nuts about her stuff that I recontacted her and we finally met again today...and wow and wauw, what a woman. She is so nice, I had the impression we could chitchat for weeks. And again I realised that I am so strangely programmed, I project my own fears/thoughts, stuff I am not ready/willing to see, on someone else and... well and...
In the meantime the question occured to us if it wouldn't be better for everyone and every possible thing that I would stop all other activities and concentrate entirely on les 6 Reines.
Which would mean stop teaching.Hurrah?
I know I have been complaining about that job for a long time and I've been annoying Arne endlessly, telling him how much happier I would be, staying at home sewing, knitting, 6 Reining etc...
But now that he comes up with the idea of me working full-time for our business, I get nervous.
The idea of cleaning that kitchen over and over again, not earning money that is clearly my own, is getting on my old feminist's nerves. Or rather,it tickles mon esprit Virginia Woolf, which is not bad at all.
Ladies, stay awake!!
